Details of events in the parish which may be of interest to our members will be shown here. If you wish to have items included please send details to the email address at the bottom of this page. WEST WALL APPEAL To find out details of events planned in our relaunched 'Talents' Scheme to raise funds for the West Wall Restoration please click here. ~~~~~~~ Alternative Service Do come along and join in our next Alternative Service on Sunday, 21st September, at 7.00pm in Christ Church. There's usually something for everyone in these services so, if you haven't sampled one before, come and join in, or just sit, watch and listen and take it all in if you'd rather. ~~~~~~~ Wydale 2008 We have a Parish weekend booked for Wydale for 26th – 28th September. All previous weekends have been hugely enjoyable, but for some reason we have not had many bookings in for this years as yet and it is causing Helen Land a little anxiety! Please could you save her going prematurely grey and let her know if you hope to come, or even tell her that you definitely can’t this year, just so we know what to do with the booking. If there is something in particular causing hesitation i.e. date, cost, programme etc. Please let us know. ~~~~~~~ Reader Ministry Hear at Great Ayton and Newton-under-Roseberry we are fortunate in having two Licensed Readers in Margaret Lewis and Peter Titchmarsh and on Sunday, 12th October next it will be 40 years since Peter was admitted to the Office of Reader in the Church and received his first Licence. It has been decided to mark the occasion with a Stokesley Deanery 'Celebration and Thanksgiving for Reader Ministry' to take place in Christ Church, Great Ayton. This is expected to take the form of a Choral Evensong at 6.00pm on Sunday, 12th October. The different elements of the service will be taken entirely by a number of Readers from the parishes in the Stokesley Deanery (Clergy are welcome to attend!). The service will be followed by a 'Faith Supper' in the Parochial Hall in true Great Ayton style. ~~~~~~~ |
