West Wall Appeal

The restoration work on the west wall in Christ Church is almost completed. The cost, which was estimated to be in the region of £12,000, was raised through our 'Talents' scheme which was relaunched earlier this year.

Thanks to the efforts and generosity of many people, you will see below that we have reached our target. after such a project, there are always little 'extras' to fund and you can still give a donation to help with these if you have not already done so. Please contact the Vicar or our Treasurer, Ken Taylor.
The Appeal has raised the total of

£12,404

About us...

Christ Church is an Anglican Christian church within the Church of England. It is the parish church of Great Ayton with Easby in the Deanery of Stokesley in the Diocese of York. We also have responsibility for the ancient 12th century All Saints Church which is situated in close proximity to Christ Church.

St. Oswald's is the Parish Church of Newton-under-Roseberry and, together with Christ Church, forms a united benefice under the Vicar, the Reverend Paul Peverell, whose contact details are given below.

For details of who the people are who run our parishes please click here.

As building of this site progresses, it is intended to include a variety of information regarding the history and geography of all the churches in our parishes, the church activity groups, the people involved in their administration and the ministry of the Church to God's people.

Although there is a predominance of information relating to Christ Church, the Parish Church of Great Ayton, it is intended that pages and sections relating to St. Oswald's at Newton will eventually be included for those wanting information about that parish. Please be patient.

It is also intended to include links to other websites both within and outside the Anglican Church where it is felt that these could be useful to those requiring information within a wider context.

Ongoing improvements to this site are in progress and will soon include additional sections with more photographs of our people and places. Watch this space for notice of these improvements when they are introduced.
