What's happening...?Here, we shall bring you news of what is happening within our Parishes, the Deanery and the Diocese together with any news topics which may be of general interest. Links to other sites are available as indicated. Details of our Services, news of what is happening and who is doing what are available in the following: Prior to each Sunday a 'Service Sheet' (News-sheet) is published for Christ Church (weekly) and St Oswald's (1st and 3rd Sundays) which gives details of the days services. The sheet also includes the Bible Readings to be used at the main services on that day together with details of news and events which may be of interest and concern to parishioners and/or visitors. Current items of news will, under normal circumstances, be updated at the time of publication of the sheet each week. Items for inclusion should be given to Peter Titchmarsh either by telephone (01642 724153), by email: peterthe.1st@ntlworld.com, or in writing no later than 5.00 pm each Thursday. Copies of the sheet are usually available after 2.00pm at the back of Christ Church or click here to view the current news. Spire is the Parish Magazine covering both of our parishes and is usually published monthly on the last Sunday in each month (except August and January). Items to be included in the next issue of Spire should be given to the Editor, Malcolm Race, 9 Angrove Close, Great Ayton (Tel. 01642 724314) no later than the Sunday prior to the publication date. The actual publication date for each month's issue is usually given in News for the Pews. Printed copies of Spire are available at the back of Christ Church and cost 25p each.
