What's on in Lent

ASH WEDNESDAY 17th February  There will be a streameed Service for Ash Wednesday on Zoom and Christ Church's Facebook Page at 7.30pm.

There are quite a few choices for people to keep Lent by joining a Weekly Discussion Group, doing their own thing weekly or daily, joining in our Daily Prayers, and a way to Count Your Blessings whilst also helping Christian Aid and their support for the poorest in the world. Charities have found their funding hit especially hard this year, so a chance to help out. Take your pick.

Caring for Creation Lent Course

If you enjoy meeting with others and discussing important Faith issues, then join folk from all the Chuches in Great Ayton who will be meeting on Mondays 1.30m - 3pm to follow this year's York Course on Caring for Creation. Each session starts with a recorded introduction and we then split into groups to discuss the questions. For those who prefer something more individual on the theme of Creation that you can do as you excecise,  then try Get Outside in Lent Weeks 1 - 3, and  Get Outside in Lent Weeks 4 - 6

 

 

 

If you want something for each day, then join with the Archbishops of Canterbury & York with LiveLent and look at our stories of faith and the difference Christ makes to our lives. You can download a free App from the App Store to your phone or tablet, or sign up at the Church of England Website by clicking HERE  It works for everyone except robots!
